Oban is approx. 95 miles, and a 2½ hours’ drive from Glasgow.

• From Glasgow follow the M8 West to Junction 30
• Take the A82 to Crianlarich, then Tyndrum (a convenient place to rest, fill up the car, and have something to eat)
• Then bear left onto the A85 (signposted Oban)
• You will then pass through, Dalmally, Lochawe, Taynuilt and Connel
• From Connel, you are just 5 miles from Oban on the main road

Oban is approximately 115 miles, and a 3 hours’ drive

• Take the A8 towards Stirling
• After approximately 1.5 miles merge onto the M9
• Remain on the M9 for approximately 28 miles
• Near Stirling, take Exit 10 of the M9 and follow signs for A84 – towards Callander/Stirling/Crianlarich
• Pass through Callander and Lochearnhead,
  The road number will change to the A85
• Continue through Crianlarich and follow signs for Tyndrum (a convenient place to rest, fill up the car, and have something to eat)
• Bear left on the A85 sign posted Oban
• You will then pass through, Dalmally, Lochawe, Taynuilt and Connel
• From Connel, you are just 5 miles from Oban on the main road

• Come straight through Oban and then follow signs for Campbeltown A816
• Head South for approximately 4 miles. This will bring you to Kilmore
• You will come down a hill passing a church on the LHS
• You will then pass a row of houses on the LHS
• Next, on the LHS, you will pass a bus stop, post box, telephone kiosk, and our village hall
• Take a left turn just past the hall. You will see a sign for Barran, and also Clan Cottages
• Carry on this single-track road for ½ mile, you will come to small cross roads
• Continue left for about ¼ mile, and you will see the cottages on the RHS.

• Follow the A816 to Kilmore
• Turn right just before the village hall, signposted Barran, and also Clan cottages
• Carry on this single-track road for ½ mile, you will come to small cross roads
• Continue left for about ¼ mile, and you will see the cottages on the RHS.
