Making a Reservation

Contact us to check availability of dates and property. Bookings can be made provisionally by:

A provisional booking will be held for 7 days, to be confirmed on receipt of 25% deposit and booking form. Failing which after 10 days, the provisional booking will be cancelled. On receipt of deposit the booking will be confirmed.

The balance of payment is required 4 weeks prior to date of occupation. Bookings made within 4 weeks of arrival date are payable in full.

Cheques should be made payable to ‘Clan Cottages’.

Arrivals and Departure

Your cottage will be ready for you by 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure. Please phone if your arrival time is after 5.00pm. Please make your way to Main House on arrival where you will be welcomed and taken to your cottage.

Cleaning and damages

We require that the property should be left clean and tidy on departure and that should any items be accidentally broken or damaged that you notify the Proprietors prior to departure.

Occupancy

The number of people occupying the hired cottage must not exceed numbers stated on booking form.

Use of accommodation

The hired cottage shall be used solely for holiday purposes and the Hirer shall not sub-let the property.

Restriction on Rental

We reserve the right to remove person or persons from the property due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to the property or exceeding the stated occupancy. In this case refund will be at the discretion of the owners.

Smoking

Sorry, no smoking in cottages.

Pets

We welcome up to a maximum of 2 dogs in our 3 bedroom Clan MacKinnon Cottage and our 2 bedroom Clan MacDonald cottage. Dogs must not be left unattended in the cottages at any time.

Holiday Protection

We would strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance. You may have to forfeit the full cost of your holiday in certain circumstances.

As well as cancellation and curtailment insurance, clients are recommended to take out holiday insurance to cover loss or damage to personal effects.

Vehicles, accessories and contents are left at their owners risk. The proprietors will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any injury to persons not caused through the fault of the proprietor.

Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation being received 28 days prior to the commencement of the holiday the full amount of the agreed tariff rate will be payable. Outwith the 28 day period the deposit will be non-refundable. To minimise the cost and inconvenience of cancelled bookings, we strongly advise that holiday cancellation insurance is arranged as we are unable to make refunds for cancellations as detailed (you may have to forfeit the full cost of your holiday in certain circumstances).

Disclaimer

Payments are accepted by us in good faith and in the belief that the cottages will be placed at your disposal for the type and dates stated. If for any reason this is not possible through circumstances not under the control of the proprietor (eg fire, theft or damage) we will try to make another cottage available. If successful there will be no refund made by us. However, if we are unable to do this then the deposit will be refunded in full and as such you will have no claim against the Proprietor or Agent. The Proprietors reserve the right to alter or amend facilities or amenities available without prior notice. The Hirer shall allow the Proprietor entry to the properties for all reasonable purposes.
